Music superstar Reba McEntire leads this heartwarming turn-of-the-century story that sparkles with the spirit of Christmas.
Recently widowed Rose Cameron (McEntire) has been fighting a brave battle for survival. In danger of losing her cattle to rustlers and her ranch to the loan collector, Rose cares for her ailing young son, Toby, while holding an unshakable belief in the goodness of people.
When a handsome drifter named Harry Withers (Thomas Ian Griffith) drives some thieves from Rose’s property, she befriends the stranger. Harry becomes a father figure to Toby while stirring romantic feelings in Rose. But when suspicions arise that Harry is not who he claims to be, Rose’s faith is put to the test – with a Christmas surprise that will change the course of their lives forever.
REBA RECALLS...
I loved shooting this because we were in the northwest part of Canada – Kamloops and Vancouver. I played a widow who had a son, played by Devon Alan, out in the west. It’s one of two westerns I’ve gotten to do. I’d love to do another one!
I loved working with Thomas Ian Griffth and Ronny Cox, who was also a recording artist at one time. He told me his first album went “Cardboard.” Cute! My niece, Garett Beck Smith, is also in the movie with me. I loved having her there with me during the taping.
